Featured Story : Young Lunatics

St. Lunatics hosted Fishnette FC last night as they look to extend their 9 points lead to a possible 12. All the games were played at the same time so they did not know what the results were for Furtorn Forest FC. It didn't take long before the the first goal was scored. Santa Cruz found the net for the Americans first. Things didnt go as well for the Americans when the Koreans clawed one back tru Mukeke.

The Fishnette celebrations did not last as Matthew Lilley's shot flew past Kwang a minute after Mukeke's goal. Goals from Tristan and Holmkvist was all there was big confrontation between the Fishnette players and the referee on the 95th minute. Dick Holmkvist's late goal was disallowed because of a foul. Because of that decision, the Americans kept their 9 point lead in the talbe as Furtorn Forest won their game too. Galaxy and Maibuliwa both lost points and they will have to double their efforts to make up for the lost ground.

Manager Cyen is absolutely pleased with how his players performed, especially Muniz, Lilley and Tristan, "They are very young. 21, 24 and 25. All 3 of them made a different game in the game. Lilley and Tristan scored while Muniz assisted Tristan in his goal. Its a crying shame that Muniz was injured in the game. I am really furious with how the Fishnette players were playing and I think serve them right for getting a late goal disallowed."

After weeks of depression and disappointment, Vadern manager, Joe Jin has found the cure or the formula to bring the Fins back to life. With key players out, Joe Jin had a lot to make up for. Last night they hosted Titanium Teabags, who are also on the hunt for a revival but it was the Fins that pulled through after a brilliant game from Aleksi Kainulainen. With Jounni Raukko out, someone had to step up. It was none other then Kainulainen. The Vadern veteran took control of the game and got into the assists chart twice last night after setting up Tom Grierson and Dale Smithies with goals.

The Fins attacked a total of 12 times while the Scots could only come up with two 2 weak chances. Caudwell and Bresciani was awfully quiet last night and Zahovic had so little to do in the Vadern goal. The Fins are now almost back to the top, if they can hold on for the next few games. They will be playing the mid season games against St. Lunatics and if they can win both matches, they will be back into the title race. Currently 14 points behind the leaders, 6th place is not going to cut it for the Fins. Manager Joe jin has huge aspirations and he wants his current batch of players to help him realize his dreams.

The Pinks are officially back after a recent string of bad run. Ferdinand Aalbu is the responsible for the revival and the 31 year old will definitely be a name to be remembered for years to come. Eddy Sark, a Pinks faithful said, "Ferdinand is a legend and we will forever embrace his presence in the club. We sing as loud as we can wheneva he comes into the field."

The 31 year old grabbed 2 goals last night while Lionel Howard grabbed one for himself. Alien 24 was outplayed and outclassed last night. The Pinks moved up to 8 spot after the win and they are very confident of going for the title, despite being 17 points away from St. Lunatics. Manager VegeKia said, "This reminds me of the season when we first won the title. We had a bad run at first but the second half of the season was a whole different story."

The confident VegeKia is also a fan favorite, together with Ferdinand Aalbu. Both iconic figures looks set to go into the history books of the Thai club. VegeKia's statue is already being built right outside the Pinkyfield. It is expected to be completed in a couple of weeks.

Featured Story : Up Up and Away!!

Furtorn Forest FC hosted Termite-Nator FC last night as both teams look to a very competitive game. Both teams have their own aspirations but it was Futorns player's sheer hunger that see them through yet another 3 points. The Arabs looked comfortable through out the game but its just a couple of minor errors that enabled the Termites two easy goals. Abusibah and Sveden both got into the score sheet for the Arabs as they secured the game for the manager.

After their defeat to the Americans, St. Lunatics last week, they knew it would be hard to come back to winning ways. Manager Cyen, a long admirer of Calvin Tan's work praised the young manager after he got back to his winning ways. He said after the Fishnette game, "I said it was going to be hard to start a run but I guess I was wrong, they just needed two games and they only dropped 2 points out of a possible 6. Thats a good thing."

The win sees them keeping the gap with the Americans. They are still 9 points away but still there is hope for them. The Americans looked shaky tonight when playing against the Koreans.

Featured Story : Totally Fish-ed

Things are starting to look bad for the Fishnette contingent as they continue to lose. Tonight they hosted Vadern Oranje but did not do enough to resist the awesome force of the Finnish offense. Goals from Dale Smithies and Tommy Grierson settled the Koreans which sees them settle on 12th spot. This win also sees Vadern move a few spots up and now in a safe 8th position.

This season, Vadern's performance has been very much like a yo-yo. Always flunctuating up and down. Manager Jjin has also lost his head a couple of times but finally it paid off tonight. Fishnette was considered to be one of the top sides this season, so a win against them would be a huge confidence boost for the Finnish side. Currently 14 points behind runaway leaders, St. Lunatics, winning the title is currently out of the picture for the Fins. Many pundits are predicting the Fins to launch a late push for the title only at the ending part of the season. Pundits agree that Vadern will have to work extra hard if they are going to get even a sniff of the League title.

Smithies reels off in joy after opening the scoring.

Featured Story : Definition of Class

It was yet another wonderful treat for all football lovers as the top 2 sides of the league played each other tonight. Last week Furtorn Forest FC started 2nd before the game and St. Lunatics finally sent them to fourth place after the Arabs fell to the Americans and tonight, 2nd place Maibuliwa faced off with the Americans. It was an enticing fixture as both sides had a couple of decent chances but Angelino Casillas was the decider of the game as the StX goalie kept a clean sheet for the night while his team mates grabbed 2 goals to take all 3 points. This loss means Maibuliwa moved down to third place and Furtorn Forest are finally back at 2nd.

Many expected champions St. Lunatics to field a full side but when the team sheet was finally released, it raised a few eye brows as newbie, Cooper Thibodeaux got the nod instead of Santa Cruz, Robredo or Kouriyakin. The side was also without Benny Jansen and Love Hylander was benched. 21 year old Matthew Lilley was also given the nod which means he has started in the past 3 games. Maibuliwa on other hand fielded a team filled with experience. Viguier, Taralidis, Sawant and Svistunov all started. The Maibuliwa line up definitely caused a few scares to the away fans but in the 2nd half, the Americans were in cruise control.

With this win, St. Lunatics are now 9 points clear from 2nd place, Furtorn Forest FC. Manager cyen believes this will be a good cushion of them and this means more chance for the youngsters to play, "I am quite pleased with how Cooper played tonight and Matthew Lilley getting into the score sheet was a bonus, no doubt. I was more impressed with how the defense could cope without Benny. I am really glad they could hold the Maibuliwa offense back, and of course full marks for Angelino tonight."

Featured Story : Dragon Is Back

It was inevitable. It was just a matter of time until Miguel Mondragon finally got back his scoring touch. Tonight, he showed absolute class when his side hosted a determied Alien 24 side. Both managers needed points but it was Jon Toh of Forever United that shown more passion and finally guided his team to their third win of the season. Miguel Mondragon scored the equalizer on the 33rd minute and glimpse of magic from Cirilo Zarza finally won the game for the Spaniards on the 56th minute.

Forever United was one of the big guns in the past but has then dwindled to the foot of the table and has found it hard to come back up ever since. This win might prove to be the push they need to finally secure a safe mid table finish. Alie 24 on the other hand is currently on a free fall. After a couple of shock wins during the first few opening games, they are now in 10th place after a couple of losses. Their manager will have to dig deep and replan his strategy if he wants to stop the drop.

Miguel Mondragon on the other hand is just glad to be back. The 26 year old scored his third goal of the season and is confident that there is more to come this season. We will be keeping an eye on him as he fights off with Ferdinand Aalbu for the top spot as the most lethal striker in the league.

Mondragon(10) : We are moving up!

Featured Story : Down for the Drop?

It looks like Vadern FC is on a verge of a downfall. Their recent loss to Maibuliwa definitely did no favors for their ill-tempered boss, Jjin. They currently lie at 10th spot just 2 spots away from the Champions League spot. Many has already tipped them to have a outside change for the title this season. Their bad performances are starting to be a worry to fans.

Maibuliwa on the other hand, was quick to capatilize. With them winning and Furtorn and Galaxy failing to get wins, the Japs are now 2nd place, 6 points behind runaway leaders, St. Lunatics. This will not stop the Green Samurais from giving up as manager Tze Lun will lead his team to play the Lunatics next Tuesday. The mouth-watering game will also see Tito Tristan and Jermaine Finley returning for the Lunatics while, Seigo Yamagaishi returning from a long term injury.

Danijel Zahovic : Things are not looking too good

Featured Story : Never Say Never

Tonight features one of the biggest games this season. American side, St. Lunatics hosted a determined Furtorn Forest FC, both sets of players were playing to their best and it was definitely a treat to all football lovers. The first half was a bore but the second half burst into life when Benny Jansen put his side in the lead. Things looked better for the Arabians when they were leading the game after goals from Bennett and Manners. At that point things were not looking too good for the Americans but a very careless Furtorn side gave away 2 goals to the Americans. The final score was 3-2 with the Americans with yet another amazing comeback win.

Manager Cyen applauded Calvin for his great effort but believes that there is a bigger challange now that the Arabian boss failed to win tonight. "It was a good game. Nothing special but then there was loads of action and a good game to watch for the neutrals. I can see why Furtorn Forest deserves to be at the top. Manager Calvin has definitely done a great deal to bring his team so far but sadly their great run had to come to an end. The real challenge starts here for him. Its picking themselves up is the hard part. Maintaining a good run isn't as hard as starting one so I wish him all the best."

Muniz the Latest Lunatic

After being inactive in the transfer market for about 2 weeks, St. Lunatics finally signed 24 year old former Spanish u-21 international, David Muniz. The 24 year old signed from Valencia earlier today in a deal that is rumored to be around 3 million econs. The fans are in a joyous mood when David arrived at the club lodge this morning. He was officially unveiled as a Lunatic at around 2 P.M. This means the American side now has a total of 8 midfielders to pick from. With Tito Tristan and Luke Ware unavailable for the next game, Muniz is expected to be thrown right into action tomorrow.

Manager Cyen and assistant manager Aiden Ferrero was present together with David during the press conference. Ferrero started the press by declaring how pleased he is with the scouts that managed to spot such a talent like David, "Its amazing how the scouts do it over and over again. The special thing about the scouts in our club is that they were former players and they know the manager and me very well. That way they know what kind of player suits us. Dakota(Neely) found Muniz when he was holidaying in Spain earlier this week. He rang me straight away and we contacted the Valencia board and we got straight to business." Like many of their previous signings, David's stats was better compared to when the STX scouts first saw him. Ferrero continues to add, "Arregui, Ramsay, Kalinichenko and now Muniz were initially 6 bar players, Ramsay a 5 bar player but when they came, they were better than that. I guess we got ourselves yet another bargain."

Manager Cyen was also commented on the 24 year old, "I like players like Muniz. Just the right age and has a good footballing brain. He is exactly the cover we need when the likes of Luke(Ware) and Tito(Tristan) are out. He will definitely fit right into our system very well." When asked about Matthew Lilley's future in the club, manager Cyen is positive that the 21 year old still has a bright future in the club, "Yes we have 8 midfielders in the side right now but keep in mind that we play a traditional 4-5-1 formation and there will be enough games for all 8 of them. Lilley is no different, he will have his fair share of games. You could see what he could do a couple of days ago. He coped well with the team and had a good game against the Broke Brothas."

Next on the mic was the new boy himself, David Muniz was quick to express his delight on signing with the Americans, "I've heard a lot about St. Lunatics and I am positive I made the right move. I like challenges and the manager himself loves challenging the players so I believe things will eventually piece out by themself as time goes by. The debut game is a crucial one and I want to leave a positive impact on the fans."

Hismamagotserved's Hope?

Finally, manager Teo Mou Jian was sacked after disappearing from the club for a month. The board has finally gotten fed up with the plump manager and decided to give him the boot. They had hoped to capture Avram Grant to be the head coach but Avram had better things to do then coaching a team with an awful name so the Israeli's finally turn their attention to Going Green Co-manager, Alvin Cheah. The talented manager took over with immediate effect last night and was present in the drubbing of his new team. Not a good start for him but things should be better now that the club has a manager that actually exists.

Alvin Cheah : Clearly not a fan of Jason Hupkes, or Faelan Bronach.

Featured Story : The Definition of Defense

Things continue to look bright for Basque side, Kibosh Wonderers as their keeper, Jeff Kerrison once again grabbed a clean sheet. They hosted Forever United last night and it was definitely a feisty game. The Basque and Spanish fans packed the stadium but at the end of the night, it was the Basque fans that were celebrating. Jeff Kerrison not only grabbed a clean sheet but also the man of the match award, second time in a week. His performance has definitely caugh the eye of several managers, Cyen was one of the managers who is clearly impressed with how Jeff Kerrison is playing at the moment, "I watched the highlights and nothing could pass him except for Linne's goal but that was a clear foul so besides that, Jeff did nothing wrong."

The 30 year old keeper did his part at the back but it was Kibosh's offensive capabilities that won them the game. Goals from Gualter Clovs and Antero Picante sealed their side 3 full points. Kibosh now lies in 15th place, safe from any relegation fight, for now. But if they are go really challenge for a mid table finish, it would be Jeff Kerrison to lead the team, from the back.

Jeff Kerrison : Hysterical after his side's first goal.

Featured Story : Hupkes Almost Epic

He was destined for greatness right from the start. His debut season took everyone by surprise. When his club was being ridiculed and laughed at by managers in the league, he kept his head in the game and stayed focus and now he is starting to reap the rewards. Recently just took over 3rd spot for the most lethal finished in the league, Jason Hupkes last night once again got into the score sheet as he did no favors for new Hismamagotserved manager, Alvin Cheah.

Already 29, he is now at his prime and a total of 29 goals to his name is just amazing at any league. He is currently being targeted by Manchester City and also Real Madrid. The Galacticos want to make him a part of the new Galactico era along with the likes of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo. Back to the game, Hupkes opened the scoring for his side last night and sealed the win with his 2nd goal on the 75th minute. Faelan Bronach also scored a brace too, making the score line 4 goals to nil.

Jason Hupkes : Real Madrid bound?

Featured Story : Furtorn Skins the Fins

Things are looks to be getting bad by the week for Finnish side, Vadern Oranje FC. Their manager Jjin was once exploded in the locker room after the game and gave his players a piece of his mind. Many of his players are also starting to get frustrated and unspirited. Dale Smithies said during a post-game interview, "I don't know what is happening to us. We play well but yet we are not good enough and all this hostility in the locker room isn't going to help. I really hope things will start to change a bit more and hopefully our performance can change for the better."

On a positive note, Furtorn Forest FC were the victors of the game as Sveden's 61th minute goal was all there is of action in the game. The Fins had a limited amount of chances and Raukko's injury probably sums up their first half performance. Their second half was no better as the Arabs took control of the game and eventually won the game. This means they leap frog Maibuliwa to steal 2nd place after the Japs crashed in Bangkok.

Sveden in action.

Featured Story : Japs Run Halted

It seemed too good to be true for Maibuliwa until last night. Things were going according to their plan but a persistent Pinks side showed no quarter to them and their great run was finally halted. Bruce Weatherhead was the hero of the night. After a slow start to his Pinks career, he finally found his breakthrough in last night's game. His hat-trick sealed all 3 points for the Thais and they once again look set to storm into the title race. Himesh Sawant's equalizing header was not enough to keep the Thais quiet, instead a 73rd minute winner from Weatherhead totally sent the home fans into raptures.

The Thais are currently at 11th spot but they are the favorites to start their climb up the table compared to the Teabags and Vadern. VegeKia, an experienced manager will need to pray for a quick recovery from Ferdinand Aalbu so that he can get his team back into the spot light. Lionel Howard partnered Bruce up front last night but could do very little. He is expected to be dropped in their next game and Duane Franklin looks set to partner Bruce up front instead.

Weatherhead's third goal broke many Japanese hearts.

Featured Story : A Recap

Game ten passes and the table is once again active. St. Lunatics, Vadern and HMGS are the only teams to stay put in their respective positions while we see Galaxy FC and Termite-Nator FC free falling after just ten games. Football pundit and cow farmer, Shebby Singh said, "I think Galaxy FC and Termite's run of luck is almost over. They need to pick themselves up if they don't want their short stint to be just mere luck. A lot of pressure will be on them."

While wins for both Furtorn FC and Maibuliwa see them continue to climb the table to mount a serious challenge on the title. Both teams finished the week with easy scorelines. The Pinks on the other hand fell victim to Furtorn's conquest for the title. This sees them fall to 11 spot but critics are not surprised that this is just a minor glitch in the Pink's season. They are expected to return to their top 5 finish soon enough. Titanium Teabags also played the part of the casualty for Maibuliwa's title push.

Things are also looking great for Kibosh as their new signing, Jeff Kerrison made a huge impact in their game tonight. Kerrison kept a clean sheet and the Basque team earned a rare win. This might the start of a good run for them, as long as Kerrison stays away from the club physios. St. Lunatics once again won as they look more likely to retain their title this season. Goals from Nadarev and Robredo was enough to seal a 4 nil win tonight.

Featured Story : Never Too Late for a Comeback

It was almost a shocker for the Americans, St. Lunatics as Marc United was 2 goals ahead and on the driving seat as early as the 23rd minute. The penalty scored by Reggie Crowley sent shivers down the spines of many home fans but the season 4 champs were not going to give up. They struck almost immediately with goals from Tito Tristan and Danijel Nadarev and they were on level terms on the break.

In the second half, everyone thought it would be an open game much like in the first half but it was rather one sided. St. Lunatics continued to bombard the French defense and finally goals from Benny Jansen and a 2nd from Nadarev sealed a hard fought win for the Americans. Manager Cyen said during the post game conference, "It was a great performance from the boys. When Tristan scored, I knew what the boys were thinking. They were not even close to giving up and I had so little to do during the half time team talk. Instead they told me that it wasn't over yet and 45 minutes was more than enough to rip the French apart."

New boy Robredo gave it a go.
Tristan starts the revival.

Featured Story : The Best of the Fins

Vadern was back on the spot light again after their managed, Jjin was under fire from several managers. He punished a sloppy Flower Power side with a win tonight. A perfectly taken free kick from Gino Calafato canceled out Rui Drent's equalizer. The win pushes the Fins an inch closer to league leaders, St. Lunatics. It was a must win game for Jjin as he wanted to prove the critics wrong but after all the shots he had been fired at, manager of St. Lunatics has shown his support for the big man, "I think he is a really talented manager. He always scouts and gets the best players. His team is relatively young at the moment with a couple of old birds playing too but the likes of Winter, Smithies, Morricone and Parni are the ones for the future. He certainly has a future in the club and I think it would be about time he wins his second X league title."

Grierson nets the opener for the Fins.

Featured Story : Mama Getting Served Again

It is beginning to become a trend for the Israelis this season. Always going into the game with 2 substitutes and an incompetent manager at the sidelines, they face defeat once again tonight. Other than a shock win that they recorded a week ago, their performance has been a bore to everyone and even their own fans. Their board has already revealed their frustration on their current manager's performance. Rumor has it that Mark Hughes of Manchester City and former Chelsea manager, Avram Grant has been targeted to replace T Mouse. Avram Grant is currently the most likely manager to take over the Israel side as the man himself is an Israeli himself.

Back to the game, Elliot Ekblom was running wild tonight as he scored a hat-trick and bagged his team their first point of the season. It was no easy task for them as they now face every game as a big game but Ekblom was totally on form tonight. The win gave the Spanish team a total of 5 points now, lifting them off the dreaded bottom 2 place.

Ekblom's 2nd of the night.

Featured Story : Jelly Japs

Maibuliwa were to be one of the best teams of this season after a string of awesome performances but last night was a massive wake up call. Middle table side, Furtorn Forest FC has been very quiet for the entire season until last season. Their 4 nil whopping of Maibuliwa finally gave them the attention they potentially deserved. Lloyd Bennett single handedly destroyed a once spirited Maibuliwa side and take all 3 points for the Arabians. Furtorn's discrete presence in the media gave the players more room to prapare and they had nothing to lose while the Japs were watched from the start of the season so many might think that it was the pressure from the media that finally made the Japs crumble.

When in Arab, do what the Arabs do : Lloyd Bennett(6) joins in with his team mate.

This sees the Arabs leap-frogging their opponents Maibuliwa and currently acheive a respectable 3rd place, a point behind St. Lunatics and Termite-Nator FC. For a team that has no manager at the moment, they were one hell of a team last night. Even the likes of Reisis Taralidis and Himesh Sawant was not good enough to stop Lloyd Bennett.

Lloyd Bennett in action!

Featured Story : Brothas Rejoice

Poorest side, Broke Brothas last night shocked Korean side, Fishnette FC by beating them 2 goals to one and this sees them move to 12th spot. The Afrikan side played a traditional 3-4-3 formation and it was new boy Olatunji Oratade's debut. Oratade was ever present in last night's game and is definitely one to watch for the future. Goals from Cortis Deidun and Binijam Obinna was enough to take all 3 points for the Afrikans.

Olatunji Oratade

Fishnette FC on the other hand is currently on a horrible form. They only won once in their last 5 games and if they keep up this terrible form they might have to settle for mid table this season. Manager Davids Lim will have to whip up something special before the season gets out of hand for them.

Its party time for the Broke Brothas after a hard fought win.

Featured Story : Vadern Is Back?

After an unstable start to the season, football experts were already starting to doubt Vadern Oranje's true motives for this season. Many has said that boss Jjin is just going to play it safe and get a top 4 finish with no intentions on the title. After suffering two shock defeats, the Fins are finally back on track as said by manager Jjin earlier today.

Their defense has been very unstable according to Jjin and has been the main cause for conceding so many goals. He has also hailed new signing, Danijel Zahovic to be one of the signings of the season and might be the one resposible for his team's little revival, ""Even though it is just 3 points, but I am very happy with everyone's contribution today. All of them were fantastic on the field especially the debutant. Danijel showed to people why he is considered as one of the best keeper in the business but getting a straight clean sheet under his belt."

It might be a one nil win but a win is a win. They will be facing Flower Power this Friday and Danijel Zahovic is expected to start between the posts again.

Danijel Zahovic celebrates after the final whistle.

Bye Bye Carroll?

Reports has started to pour in earlier today after Rylan Carroll has been listed once again to make way for a new striker. Last season, sporting director of St. Lunatics put the 19 year old up for sale but his sudden rush in form made him a fan favorite and finally cementing a spot in the first team for a couple of months. Now his time has once again run out and looks set to be replaced by 22 year old Gustavo Robredo. The 22 year old Uruguayan currently plays more Argentinian side Boca Juniors is expected to arrive at the club later today.

Rylan Carroll has stated that he is not interested in leaving but if the right club comes he will consider it, "I love it here at STX. Last season I played well and the fans loved me but I have a future to think about. If the club doesn't need me, I would be glad to leave." Rylan will need to win back his place in the first team and to do that, he will need a string of brilliant performances again.

Robredo for Boca Juniors.

Still with the Lunatics, it seems that the shopping spree is no where near ending as the manager continues to scout around the south American region for yet another striker. Rumor has it that a player from River Plate is involved in a deal.
